Stories by and for the people.
This gist of it is this: we wanted to make a magazine that tells people's stories in order to create a more empathetic world. Stories are a fundamental part of our lives, they allow us to experience beyond our own perspective. The United States is divided right now, and so is the world. We feel the first step to uniting human beings is through sharing our stories, so we decided to make Crux a reality.
Crux, a biannual independent non-profit magazine created by sisters, Katie and Jennifer McCluer, publishes personal essays, poetry, short stories, photography, and artwork by authors, artists, and anyone with something to say. We believe everyone has a story to tell, and it is our job to find those stories and share them with the world.
